He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Bertino (Iozzo) and Carmello Bertino; and his sibling Carmen Bertino. He is survived by: his wife Brenda (Beattie); his children, Joannie Singarella (Cesare) of Winthrop, Michael Bertino (Robin) of Winthrop and Brenda Hunter (Morgan) of Hopkington; his sisters, Annette Bertino of Winthrop, Esther Bertino of Winthrop and Rose Bertino of Peabody; his grandchildren, Ashley, Kaitlin, Ava, Kiley, Michael and Reese; and his sisters-in-law, Norma Gobiel and Joan Pitts. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
