It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of George A. Nicosia of Winthrop, Massachusetts, born in Somerville, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 10, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Virginia A. Nicosia (Magliulo) and Fred F. Nicosia; his wife Kathleen A. Nicosia (Hawk); his siblings, Dolores Hajjar, Frederick A. Nicosia, Florence Cirignano and Virginia Sarmatzis; and his brothers-in-law, Leo Hajjar and John Cirignano.
He is survived by: his daughter Marianne DeLuca (Frank) of Stoneham; his sister Carol Nicosia of Waltham; his siblings-in-law, Stan Sarmatzis of Woburn, Jim Hawk of Chevy Chase, MD, Larry, Patti Hawk of Gilbert, AZ, Kim and Jeff Meyer of Painesville, OH; and his grandsons, Bruno and Gino DeLuca. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
