He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude Viola (Hill) and George Harold Sawyer; his brother Ellsworth H. Sawyer; and his son-in-law Steven A. Kligge. He is survived by: his spouse Elizabeth A. (Trites); his daughters, Kathleen E. Kligge of New Hampshire, Diane G. Videtto (John) of Massachusetts and Nancy A. Doucette (Michael) of Massachusetts; his grandchildren, Stephanie A., Kenneth E. Kligge, Jennifer T. Bell (Christopher), Joseph W. Videtto, Nicole E. and Michael T. Doucette, Jr. (Max); and his great grandchild Riley J. Bell.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the First Church of Winthrop-United Methodist.
