She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Lori Hartley (Anthony) of Pelham; her parents, John Ruggiero and Vincenzina "Vinny"; her siblings, Janet Macrina and Joseph Ruggiero; and her grandson Brett Ashley Hartman. She was also cherished by her loving aunt, nieces, and nephews.

“FRAN LIVED UPSTAIRS FROM ME. SHE WAS A LOVELY WOMAN WHO ALWAYS HAD A BIG SMILE WHENEVER WE WOULD SEE EACH OTHER AROUND THE BUILDING. WHEN SHE STARTED DIALYSIS I WOULD SIT IN LOBBY AND CHAT WITH HER WHILE SHE WAITED FOR HER RIDE, I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH HER UPBEAT DEMEANOR DESPITE KNOWING SHE WAS ON HER WAY TO A DIALYSIS TREATMENT. SHE WAS A BRAVE LADY WHO FACED HER ILLNESS HEAD ON. MY SYMPATHIES TO HER FAMILY. FRAN WILL BE MISSED BY ALL HERE AT PILLAR HOUSE.”
