He was predeceased by: his parents, Orian J. Ares and Marie Louise Ares (Lajoie); his wife Phyllis; and his brothers, Raymond P. and Robert J. Ares.
He is survived by: his pet Bella; his children, Ross A. Ares of Gardner, David M. Ares of Eckerty, IN, Karen M. Ufnal (Michael) of Milford, NH, Maureen T. Ruel (Lenny) of Winchendon, Julie L. Ares (Francis Rich) of Rochester, NH and Kelley J. Bennett (Craig) of Gardner; his grandchildren, Faith, Courtney, Alan, Stephen, Stephanie, Tausha, Emily, Brittany, Jeffery, Maddie, Stevie, Amber, Sarah and Linsie; and his sister Priscilla T. Boucher (Normand) of Gardner. He is also survived by several in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
