He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Benware and Anita Benware; and his brothers, Russell Jr. and Kevin Livesay. He is survived by: his children, James "Jamie" Livesay II (Michelle), Karen Livesay and Christopher Livesay (Lyndsey Miller); his grandchildren, Ryan, Jack, Collin and Olivia; his brothers, Kenneth Livesay (Deborah Zipkin) and Richard Livesay (Scarlett); his sister-in-law Tina Livesay; and his close friend JoJo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and several aunts and uncles.
