It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elizabeth M. Smith of Winchendon, Massachusetts, born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 10, 2022, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, V. Russell Murphy and Rose Murphy (O'Neill); her husband Jack; and her siblings, Russell, Bernard, Charles, Laurence Murphy, Clare Murphy, Arlene Hillard and Bernice Sullivan.
She is survived by: her children, Catherine Reilly, John J. Smith, Jr., Thomas, Darlene, Michael (Lisa), Ann Mary and Elizabeth (Francis Boutell); and her brother Paul J. Murphy of North Andover. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made in Betty's name to the St. Vincent de Paul Society of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish or the St. Vincent de Paul Society of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish.
