He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry L. Maxwell and Marcia E. Maxwell (Hancock); his wife Bertha Maxwell (Sears); his brothers, Stephen L. Maxwell and Gregory F. Maxwell; the mother of his children Sandra L. Marlowe (Maxwell); his son Thomas E. Maxwell; and his son-in-law Keith E. Gauthier.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas E. T. Maxwell Jr. (Haley) of Orange, Edward Maxwell (Nancy) of Spring Valley, CA, Kenneth Maxwell of Orange, Debra Gauthier of Wendell and Kimberley Carey (Jason) of Orange. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
