He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hird and Dorothy Hird (Merett); his grandchild Aubrey; and his brothers, Richard Hird (Terry) and Ralph Hird (Dee).
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn A. Hird (Lynch); his daughters, Janice Hill (Bruce) of Salem, NH, Cheryl Baranow (late Paul) of Wilmington and Lori Abbey of Hampton, NH; his grandchildren, Katie, Lauren, Erin, Chrissy, Billy, Caitlin, Meghan, Shannon, Jacob, Jackson, Kylie, Theo, Hudson, Otto, Evan, Nora, Lily and Charlotte; and his siblings, John Hird (Virginia), Michael Hird (late Betty), Jeanne McDonald, Patty Reeves (late Richie) and Susie Kelley. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home (187 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887).
