He is survived by: his wife Diane (Monzione); his children, Jennifer Mezquita (Santiago) of Methuen and Peter (Alejandra) of Andover; his grandchildren, Javier, Luca, Catalina and Nicolas; and his brother Victor (Linda) of Marblehead. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
