Leon G. Chalifour Obituary

The memory of Leon G. Chalifour of Wilmington, Massachusetts, born in Salem, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 25, 2025 at the age of 92, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Chalifour and Regina Chalifour (Charest); his wife Marilyn (McPhee); his daughter Margaret Chalifour; his siblings, Paul A. and Annette (Weldon); his siblings-in-law, James Weldon and Diane Chalifour; his nephew Joseph H. Chalifour; and his brother-in-law Robert McNaughton.

He is survived by: his children, Paul Chalifour (Deborah) of Wilmington, William Chalifour of Westford and Dianne Chalifour of Portsmouth, NH; his siblings, Fern, Richard Collins of Danvers, Marcelle, Donald Crunkleton of Altadena, CA and George Chalifour of Rochester, NH.; his sister-in-law Karen McNaughton (McPhee); his in-laws, Angus, Mary McPhee (DeMatteo), Guido and Edna DeMatteo; and his close friends, Robert, Elizabeth Landrigan, Carol Fraser (Sawin), Will McDonald and John Lomas. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nichols Funeral Home (187 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Theresa Church (466 Boston Rd, Billerica, MA 01821). A burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Wildwood Cemetery (233 Middlesex Ave, Wilmington, MA 01887).
