He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred F. Cain and Anna T. Cain (Walsh); his wife Maryann Cain (Curtin); his sister Ethel Butters; and his brother-in-law Bill Curtin.
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen A. Dawe (Greg) of Estero, FL, Fred D. Cain, Jr. (Patricia) of Wolfeboro, NH, Patricia C. Provost (late Carl) of Windham, NH, Julie C. Kronenwett (Erich) of Acton and Stephen M. Cain (Karen) of Wilmington; his siblings, Robert Cain, James Cain, Nancy Burke, George Cain and Catherine Burke; and his sister-in-law Christine Curtin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
