He was predeceased by: his father Joseph Tavanese; his wife Judith Tavanese (Barnstein); his mother Annia Tavanese (Flammia); his sister Joanne Coburn (late Robert); and also Carol (Gault).
He is survived by: his children, Joseph Tavanese (Denise) of Lynn, Daniel Tavanese (Donna) of Norwood, Patricia Kearney (Pat) of Waterford, VT and Lynne Smith (Jake) of Wilmington; his great grandchildren, Harlow and Cambree; and his sisters, Jeanne Donaghey, Patty O'Brien (Raymond) and Marie McCarthy (John). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
