He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolland Cote-Elias and Gladys Cote-Elias (Whipple); his brother John Elias (Diane); his in-laws, Ronald Szaban, Donald, Joyce Tatro, Walter, Helen Tatro, Gerald Tatro, Peter Tatro, Edna, Jack Cooper, Rena and Bob DeMarsico; and his parents-in-law, Walter and Viola Tatro.
He is survived by: his wife Rosella Cote (Tatro); his sons, William Cote (Leslie) of Clarksburg, Ronald Cote (Beth) of Pownal, VT and Jerald Cote (Cynthia) of Williamstown, MA.; his grandchildren, William Cote, Ryan Cote, Ashley Upton (Walter) and Matthew Cote (Olivia); and his sisters, Patricia Chapman (Bruce), Barbara Szaban and Betty Ann Lesnick (Tom). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
