He was predeceased by: his mother Charlotte Dozois Forner. He is survived by: his father Harold G. LaFountaine; his children, Jessica LaFountaine of Troy, Marina LaFountaine of California and Stephen LaFountaine of Troy; and his siblings, Scott LaFountaine of Troy and Darlene Renee of Cohoes. He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
