He was predeceased by: his parents, John Arthur and Evelyn Dietze (Lyman); his stepmother Joan Dietze (MacDonald); and his sisters, Gloria Thompson and Pamela Halbrook.

He is survived by: his wife Maureen Dietze (Meaney); his daughters, Lisa Dietze Molloy (Peter) of Yarmouth, ME and Pamela Dietze of Amesbury, MA.; his grandchildren, Jack Molloy, Maya Molloy, Amanda Roberts (Joshua) and Dylan Hall; his siblings, David Dietze of Reno, NV and Anina Nelon (Al) of Clearwater, FL; and his parents-in-law, Bob Halbrook, Martha Meaney, Frank Connors, Kate Meaney, Joe, Renee Meaney and John Meaney. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
