She was loved and cherished by many people including: her father Hal Janvrin; her husbands, Henry Silk and Guilbert Wales; her children, Maxine Tutor (Gerald), Marcia Kent, Susan Silk (Thomas Lincoln) and David Silk; and her stepchildren, Steve Wales (Audrey), Doug Wales (Annie) and Lucy Kluckhohn-Jones. She was also cherished by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
