He was predeceased by: his parents, John Clayton and Hannah Race; his sisters, Marjorie McDonough, Marion Toolan and Lois Race; and his daughter Ann-Louise Race-Forgette.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Race (Merrigan) of Wilbraham; his children, Michael (Mary) of East Longmeadow and Susan Race Richard of East Longmeadow; his son-in-law Bob Forgette (Tom) of Agawam; his stepson Brian (Cassandra) of Somerville; and his grandchildren, John, Eden (Joshua), Sydney (David), Michaela, Shane and Erin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Wilbraham Funeral Home (2551 Boston Rd, Wilbraham, MA 01095). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Cecilia Church (42 Main St, Wilbraham, MA 01095).
