He was predeceased by: his parents, Primo Maggi and Augusta Maggi (Giustina). He is survived by: his wife Joan Maggi (Garczynski); his stepchildren, Jay Belanger (Mia) and Lori Belanger (Barbara Raines); his granddaughters, Giovanna Ray Belanger and Angelina Joy Belanger; and his nephews, Robert Maggi (Terri) of East Longmeadow, Joseph Maggi (Joselyn) of Belchertown and Bobby Carnevale (Sandy).
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation (220 N Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Cecilia's Church (42 Main St, Wilbraham, MA 01095).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ray's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital , P.O. Box 1999, Memphis, TN 38101 or Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306.
