He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Metzler and Julia Metzler (Schweitzer); and his wife Joanne Metzler. He is survived by: his sons, Matthew W. Metzler of Springfield, Paul S. Metzler of Chicopee, James P. Metzler of Longmeadow and David P. Metzler of Chicopee; and his siblings, Norman Metzler of Eugene, OR and Lucille Avery of Chicopee.
