It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen T. Simonowicz of Wilbraham, Massachusetts, born in Ludlow, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 23, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lizak and Frances Lizak (Sarfranik); her son Richard Walas; her stepson John E. Simonowicz; her former husband Stephen Walas; her husband John A. Simonowicz; and her brothers, Leo, John, Mitchell and Chester Lizak.
She is survived by: her stepdaughters, Carole Hardick of Southwick and Mary Jane Perodeau (Gerald) of West Springfield; her daughter-in-law Nancy Walas of East Longmeadow; her stepdaughter-in-law Donna Simonowicz of New Jersey; her grandchildren, Richard Walas, Jr. of East Longmeadow and Sarah Lewelling of Georgia; her stepgrandchildren, Tim Hardick, Julie Hardick, Amy Perodeau, Christine McKenna and Nikki Simonowicz; and her nieces and nephews, Frances Bensen (Tom) of Westfield and Michele Cowdry (Ron) of Springfield. She is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
