He was predeceased by: his wife Mary T. O'Hara (Hosea); his parents, John J. O'Hara and Katherine A. O'Hara (Raftery) of County Galway, Ireland.; and his siblings, Rita McGrimley (late Thomas McGrimley), John (Katherine O'Hara) and Joseph O'Hara.

He is survived by: his children, Thomas F. O'Hara Jr. (Sandy) of North Weymouth, Paul O'Hara (Bridget) of Loganville, Georgia, Judy O'Hara of Marina Bay and Lenny O'Hara (late Sue) of South Weymouth; his grandchildren, Amy (John McSweeney), Christine O'Hara, Michael (Barbara O'Hara), Katie O'Hara, Nick O'Hara (Taylor), Kenneth O'Hara, Daniel O'Hara, Tana, Benjamin Blumberg, Adam Forrester and Kyle Forrester; his great grandchildren, Chloe, Delia, Grayson, Emma, Bella, Mason, Rylie, Michael, Peyton, Aleigha, Conner, Kinsley, Rowan, Simone and Josie; and his nieces and nephews, Kathleen Rains, Patricia McGrimley, Thomas McGrimley, Jack McGrimley and Joseph Berg (O'Hara).

Visitation was held on Monday, September 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Murphy Funeral Home (1020 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester, MA 02125). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Gregory Church (2223 Dorchester Ave, Boston, MA 02124). The military honors was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 at 1:15 PM at the Massachusetts National Cemetery.
