He was predeceased by: his son Theodore "Teddy" Hawkes; and his sister-in-law Janet. He is survived by: his wife Diane Hawkes (Berio); his children, Jonathan Hawkes (Alise) of Brooklyn, NY, Jeffrey Hawkes (Colette) of Australia and Nancy Hawkes of Weymouth; his grandchildren, Jayden, Jemma, Julia and Jordan; his brother David Hawkes of California; his friend Carol Melanson; his close friend Bruce; his friend Howie; his child Rainbow; and his nephews, Jonathan and Jeffrey. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home (134 Pleasant St, Weymouth, MA 02190). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 10:45 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Old South Union Church (25 Columbian St, Weymouth, MA 02190). A burial was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 12:15 PM to 12:30 PM at the Mt Hope Cemetery (399 Pleasant St, South Weymouth, MA 02190).
