He is survived by: his wife Maria; his family, Santa Ana and San Jose Costa Rica; his siblings, Mario Castro and Ligia Castro (Chola); his children, Kathia Nieves (José) of Hewitt, NJ., Mónica Burgos (Aradny Essaú Burgos) of Derry, NH., Paula Castro (Mario Borbón) of Weymouth, MA., Hugo Gerardo Castro (Guillermo Castro) of Newark, NJ, Guillermo Castro (Diana Rodríguez) of Ciudad Colón and San Jose Costa Rica; his close friend María Leyla Ventura; his siblings, Rodolfo Castro (Macho) of Quincy, MA, Adrián Castro (Alma) of Tampa, Caudia Diaz (Manuel) of Chelsea, MA, Virginia Castro (Chita) of Santa Ana and San José Costa Rica; his grandchildren, Crystal Burgos, Kevin Burgos, Paola Castro, Polet Castro of Massachusetts, Amy Burgos (Eichner), Melanie Burgos, Donovan N. Burgos, Emma Burgos, Nathan Nieves, Matthew Nieves of Hewitt, NJ, Samantha Castro of Wharton, NJ, Carina, Gabriella Schlichte of Pembroke, MA, Lucas Felipe Castro and Maria Pia Castro; and his great grandchildren, Dominic, Joshia, Emy, Omar, Calvin and Benjamin.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Hamel-Lydon Chapel (650 Hancock St, Quincy, MA 02170).
