It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen T. McHugh of Weymouth, Massachusetts, born in South Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on August 26, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ryan and Andrew Ryan; her husband Joseph B. McHugh; her siblings, James Ryan, Mary Myette, Agnes Mace, Andrew "Gus" Ryan, John Ryan, Margaret "Peggy" Ryan, William Ryan, Alice Ryan and Joseph "Joe" Ryan; and also Hugh Fidler.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Fidler of Mansfield, Nancy Reynolds (Brian) of Abington and Maureen Gibbons (Ed) of Kingston; her grandchildren, Curtis, Corey, Casey Gibbons, Conor, Kristen and Patrick Reynolds; and her great grandchildren, Avery, Riley and Beau.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 3rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home - South (809 Main St, Weymouth, MA 02190). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Francis Xavier Parish (234 Pleasant St, Weymouth, MA 02190).
