We are sad to announce that on June 11, 2024, at the age of 61, Edward M. Kennedy of Weymouth, Massachusetts, born in South Boston, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Joseph P. Kennedy and Mary Kennedy (Conroy); his stepfather William "Danny" Burke; and his siblings, Joseph Kennedy, Mary Kennedy and Robert Kennedy.

He is survived by : his wife Colleen M Kennedy (Callahan) of Weymouth; his children, Patrick of Weymouth, Caroline of Weymouth and Mairead Kennedy of Weymouth; his siblings, John "Jack" Kennedy (Mary) of Weymouth, Elizabeth Beatty of Weymouth, James Kennedy (Stacey) of Florida and Theresa Kennedy of Boston; his parents-in-law, Patty and Ed Callahan of Charlestown; and his sisters-in-law, Caitlin Avitable (Steve) of Abington, Bridget Callahan of Charlestown and Aileen Callahan of Charlestown. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Thursday, June 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home - South (809 Main St, Weymouth, MA 02190). A Mass was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Francis Xavier Church (234 Pleasant St, Weymouth, MA 02190).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Mass Fallen Heroes Memorial, 85 Northern Avenue, Boston, MA 02210.
