It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Canniff of Weymouth, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Gardner Philbrick; her husband John Bud'Canniff; her son John C. Canniff; and her sister Loretta Philbrick. She is survived by: her mother G. Dorothy Philbrick; her children, Susan M. Stanley (late Michael 'Mike) and Richard W. Canniff (Susan); her grandchildren, Cynthia M. Stanley (Peter Gagen), Scott M. Stanley (Maria), Ashley Drake and Josh Heishman; and her great grandchildren, Donovan, Chloe Gagen, Elijah and Remi Drake.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home - East (3 Charles St, Weymouth, MA 02189). A Mass was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Paul's Parish (147 North St, Hingham, MA 02043). A burial was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Lakeview Cemetery (335 Pond St, Weymouth, MA 02190).
