She was predeceased by: her husband Robert X. Cassell Sr.; her son Mark J. Cassell; her parents, Albert Melanson and Claire Melanson (Bradley); her siblings, Janet Newman and Joseph Melanson; and her grandson Christopher Michael "Riff" Dahl.
She is survived by: her children, Robert X. Cassell Jr. (Emily Cassell) of Weymouth, Cheryl-Ann Cassell of Weymouth, Joseph G. (Melisa Cassell) of Florida and Shaun B. "Vinny" Cassell; her siblings, Bobby Melanson, Judy Manley, Joyce Melanson and Dorothy Hutchins; and her grandchildren, Jamie Cassell (Sam), Zack Cassell (Jessica), Jacqueline (Max Caetano), Kayla Monahan (Tyler), Alyssa Lawrence, Joshua Lawrence and Joey Cassell Jr. (Taylor). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
