She was predeceased by: her spouse Constantino C. Souza; her parents, Fernando Proto and Carmela Proto (Fiore); and her siblings, Joseph Proto, Kathryn Dias, Mary Hamel, Frank Proto, Antone Proto, Carmela Lima and Gaetano Proto.
She is survived by: her children, Ronald J. Souza (late Frances) of Wareham, Frederick Souza (Carol) of Fall River, Deborah Davis (Robert) of Westport and James Souza (Frances) of Bluffton, SC; her grandchildren, Ronald J. Souza Jr., Christine Pancyck, Heather Smith, Frederick Souza Jr., Jonathan J. Souza, Michael J. Souza and Jamie E. Holaday; and her great grandchildren, Alex, Evan Pancyck, Madison Souza, Cody, Bailey Smith, Gabriella, Frederick III, Jonathan J. Souza Jr., Cameron, Dominic and Francesca Holaday. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home (1521 N Main St, Fall River, MA 02720). A Mass was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at the Holy Name Church (709 Hanover St, Fall River, MA 02720). A burial was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Patrick's Cemetery (2233 Robeson St, Fall River, MA 02720).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association or to the National Kidney Foundation.
