He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Irene Barboza (Furtado); his parents, Manuel L. Barboza and Maria Barboza (Andrade); and his brother Manuel "Larry" Barboza, Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Alfred D. "Butch" Barboza and Mary Barboza. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
