With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John A. Farina of Weston, Massachusetts, who passed away on January 12, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincenzo Farina and Angelina Farina (DeMarco); his wife Josephine; and his siblings, Anna (George Hawkins), Joseph (Margaret Farina), Mary (Edmund Nardone) and Elizabeth (Aubrey Hill).

He is survived by: his children, Lisa M. Colantonio (Francis) of Holliston, Cynthia A. D'Urso, Brenda M. Negrotti (late John) of West Newton, John A. Farina, Jr. (Beverly) of Weston and Tricia A. Joyce (Robert) of West Newton; his grandchildren, F. Taylor Colantonio, Briana Colantonio Devlin (Christopher), Madison Colantonio, Anthony, Joseph D'Urso, Christian, Nicholas Negrotti, Robert, Alexander, Thomas and Angelina Joyce; and his siblings, Rita Cannistraro (John) of Osterville, Alfreda Cleveland (late Norman) of Marblehead and Vincent Farina (Natalie) of Newton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

“I have nothing but the best of memories of Mr. Farina from summers in Humarock. Bocce games with him and the other Dads that would last all day long. Trying to guess every year what the theme of the Farina/Medaglia/Collins horribles day parade was while watching as they worked on it for days. And of course the small fry dances when he was The Candy Man, handing out Smarties to all the kids as we left the dance. He ALWAYS was smiling. Rest In Peace Mr. Farina and thank you for the memories.”
