He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. McElligott and Julia R. McElligott (McNeil); and his sister Carroll Hanson. He is survived by: his brother Jack McElligott; his children, Julie Mace (Dana), Kimberly Reynolds (Doug), Michael McElligott (Missy) and Heidi McElligott; his grandchildren, Dylan, Susannah, Jack, Henry, Bonnie, Nora and Sarah; and his nieces and nephews, Liane Kentas, Jonathan Mullahy and Harmony McElligott.
