It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Shelby Jean Forkey of Westminster, Massachusetts, born in Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on October 7, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, William Wright Webb of North Carolina and Emma Suzanna Webb (Everette) of North Carolina; and her siblings, Nancy Owens (Webb) of North Carolina, W. Thomas Webb of Georgia, Randolph Webb of Washington State, James Webb of South Carolina, Jasper Webb and Mary Ellis (Webb) of North Carolina.

She is survived by : her husband Richard E. Forkey; her children, Curtis R. Womble (Melissa Murphy) of Lunenburg, C. Renee Womble (John Hargraves) of Westminster, David Womble (Sarah Robertson-Peaslee) of Westminster, Joseph Forkey (Heather) of Princeton and AnnMarie Koivu (Rick) of Townsend; her grandchildren, Dillon Womble, Shania Womble, Sidney Tarbell, Tyler Truax, Katie (Martin Maloney), Tim Forkey, Dan Forkey, Jon Forkey and Meg Forkey; her sister Faye Leach (Brigadier General Dennis); her niece Anna Sumerlin of Wake Forest, NC; and her sisters-in-law, Alexandria Forkey of South Hadley and Deborah Johnson (John) of Elm City, NC. She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
