He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph O. Sawtell and Margaret W. Sawtell (Carter). He is survived by: his wife Sharon; his daughter Carrie L. Sawtell (Adam Ryczek) of Bloomfield, CT; and his siblings, Joseph Sawtell (Yvonne) of Oregon City, OR, Carter Sawtell (Jean) of New Portland, ME, Joyce Kennedy (Lowell) of Raleigh, NC and Margaret Farwell (Norman) of Chelsea, MI. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
During the coronavirus pandemic, Don and Sharon were especially grateful to the local restaurants who provided safe, outdoor dining areas for the elderly.
