He was predeceased by: his spouse Geraldine R. MacInnis; his parent Walter MacInnis; and his child Christopher Robert MacInnis. He is survived by: his parent Ethel MacInnis; his son Commander Derek L. MacInnis; his wife Donna Porter of Richmond, RI; his cousin Nancy Smith of Pelham, NH; and his grandson Ian MacInnis.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Shriner's Hospital Boston, Donation Dept., 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
