It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marie Louise Smerigan of Westford, Massachusetts, born in Malden, Massachusetts, who passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dana Hanson and Oline (Staal); her former husband John M. Smerigan; and her siblings, Oline Tessier, Dana Hanson and Valerie Joyce.
She is survived by: her son John M. Smerigan Jr.; her child-in-law Cisco J. Carr of Hudson, NH; her children, Sherryl M. Smerigan of Sycamore, IL, Wendi and Phillip Abely of Westford, MA; and her siblings, Karl Hanson of Chester, ME and Donna Shaw of Lowell, MA.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and many, many close friends.
