He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Downing and Catherine Downing (Hasler). He is survived by: his spouse Mary P. Downing; his children, Lauren Braudis (Peter) of Groton, John R. Downing, Jr. (Rattana) of Dracut and Jennifer Wiggin (Taylor) of Goffstown, NH.; his grandchildren, Bailey, Riley Braudis, Kaylee and Chloe Wiggin; and his sister Kathy Downing of Quincy.
