He is survived by: his wife Eileen (Chaffee); his children, James, Jr., Jennifer and Julia; his brother Richard Barrett, Jr. (Vanessa); his niece Alana; his sister Mary Lou Lynam (Thomas); his nephew Michael; his brother Brian T. Barrett (Maria); his sister-in-law Kathleen Briley (Ron); his nephews, Shane and Ross; his niece Meghan; his parents-in-law, Alan and Judith Chaffee; and his friend Bernard Peloquin (Judith).
