He was predeceased by: his close friend Sophie. He is survived by: his wife Jill M. Gainley (Matthews); his son Cameron Matthews Gainley; his mother Carol Berti (Gainley); his stepfather John of Land; his sisters, Stacey Chappell (Jonathan) of Wallingford, CT and Tara Herman of Chester; his mother-in-law Flo Matthews of Westfield; his brother-in-law Jeffrey Matthews (Sarah) of Belchertown; and his nieces and nephews, Grace, Carsten, Max, Drew, Jack and Maren.
