She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Alonzo and Joan Alonzo; and her brother Dean Alonzo. She is survived by: her son Jordan Poplawski; and her close friends, Tracy Gawron (Clay), Ron Schortmann (Christina), Michael Schortmann (Julie), Donna Mulligan (Jay) and Ashleigh Ortega (Gil).
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Firtion Adams Funeral Home (76 Broad St, Westfield, MA 01085). A memorial service was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Firtion-Adams Funeral Home (76 Broad St, Westfield, MA 01085). A burial was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 at the St Mary's Cemetery (203 Southampton Rd, Westfield, MA 01085).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Harmony House in Chicopee, MA, who showed true compassion and care to Karen and her family.
