He was predeceased by: his parents, James Doherty and Emma Doherty (McLaughlin); his siblings, Noel, Jim, Patsy, Mamie, Emma, Noreen, Gabie and Pam; his sons, John Leo, Jr. and Peter; and his son-in-law Franco Manzi.
He is survived by: his wife Mary "Babe"; his daughter Michell Manzi; his stepdaughter Deirdre Reilly; his grandchildren, Shannon (Manny), Adam, Jillian (Jesse), Makenna and Megan (Marco); his great grandchildren, Adrain, Sidney, Maria and Cash; and also England.
