He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Morton, Sr. and Frances Morton (Corbett) of Florence; and his siblings, Robert Morton, Jr., Mary Schmith, Jackie Morton and Richard Morton.
He is survived by: his children, Angelika Morton of Huntington, MA, James Morton, Jr. (Jackie) and William Morton of Fairbanks, AK; his grandchildren, Tony Morton of Woonsocket, RI, Amanda Kochapski (Cody Clarke) of Florence, MA, David Kochapski, Jr. of Huntington, MA, Hope and Grace Morton of Fairbanks, AK; his great grandchild Selina Morton of Woonsocket, RI; and his nieces and nephews, Hedwig Gabriel, Hanelore Morton of Fairbanks, AK, Ollie "Buddy" Schmith (Lisa) and TJ Schmith.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be given to the American Cancer Society (http://www.cancer.org) in honor of Jim in an effort to sustain the organization's capacity to serve others struggle with cancer.
