He was predeceased by: his parents, Noe Piette and Grace Piette (Phillips); and his siblings, Wilfred Piette, Evelyn Cwirka and Marion Cutter.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys H. Piette (Holcomb); his children, Robert J. Piette (Paula) of Westfield, Denise M. Barrett (Scott) of Westfield and Suzanne M. Verrilli (Joseph) of Southington, CT; and his grandchildren, Andrew Morris Stephanie (Lacey), Jared Piette (Emily), Desire Piette (Ben), Nicole Verrilli (Christiaan) and Brian Verrilli (Elle). He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
