He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Smith (Brooks); his sons, Thomas R. Smith, Jr. (Linda) of Auburn, Paul Smith and David Smith (Susan); his sisters, Dorothy Steeves of Franklin and Margaret Pomeroy of Hopkinton; his grandchildren, Amy, Christopher, Peter, Felicia, Nicholas, Andrew and Matthew; and his great grandchild Mikael.
