He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Lee Shaw (Colgan). He is survived by: his wife Meagan M. Shaw (McAleavey); his children, Torin A. McAleavey of Westborough, Mason K. McAleavey of Westborough and Avery J. Shaw of Westborough; his father Peter B. Shaw of Sutton; and his siblings, Erin M. Piccioli (Christopher) of Sutton and Peter B. Shaw, Jr. (Gina Carrico) of Douglas. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In remembrance of Matthew's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
