He is survived by: his wife Rose; his children, Fredrick Horwitz (Kathleen) of Chagrin Falls, OH, Lillian Hiett (David) of Wayland, MA and Matthew Horwitz-Lee (Holly Heilman) of Stockton Springs, ME; his grandchildren, James, Elizabeth Horwitz, Dalila, Avalyn Hiett and Bodhi Lee; his sister Diane Nieker of Chicago, IL; and his children, Alan Horwitz of West Virginia and Diane Toole of Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to the American Parkinson's Disease Association (apdaparkinson.org) in memory of Fred.
