He is survived by: his children, Fred B. Hughes, Jr. (Ellie), Paul Hughes (Norma), John Hughes and Cheri Downer (Kevin); his grandchildren, Ashely Hughes, Shelley Lemieux and Darlene Brennan; and his great grandchild Ayden Bessette. He is also survived by two great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
