She was predeceased by: her parents, Hans Tornow and Anna Tornow (Donat). She is survived by: her children, Achim and Corinne Moesta of Woodside, CA; her grandchildren, Kathryn, Juliana (Stefan), Leslie Moesta of Maynard, MA, Theodore, Caroline, Susanne (William Fouse), Sebastian, Lucas, Sybille Moesta of Brooklyn, NY and Tobias Moesta of Philadelphia, PA.; and her sisters, Monika Block and Martina Fritz of Germany.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Angel Flight NE, a charity providing flights for patients needing life-saving medical care to which Brigitte donated her pilot time: https://www.angelflightne.org.
