As we bid Ruth farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Ruth is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Goodwin Sr. and Frances Goodwin (Carter); her former spouse Winsor Baker; her husband Benjamin Pihl; and her brothers, Robert and George.
She is survived by: her brother Harold Goodwin Jr. of Chatham; and her daughters, Susan Baker of Yarmouth, Jane Lovelette (Timothy) of Yarmouth and Louise Baker of Yarmouth. She is also survived by five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be private, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to YFFRA, 96 Old Main Street, South Yarmouth 02664 or the charity of your choice.
