He was predeceased by: his siblings, Carol Pijand and Freddie Ambrose. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen D. Ambrose; his daughter Maureen A. Hammett (Mark); his grandchildren, Maria C. Matrango and Joseph P. Matrango; his parents, Ernest Ambrose and Anna Ambrose; and his brother Larry Ambrose. He is also survived by his many sister in laws and brother in laws, nieces and nephews as well as his great nieces.
